Pennino is roundly acknowledged as a consummate professional, an acclaimed designer and an all-around nice guy. With world class clients it might be hard to remain modest; but Pennino has done just that and takes a sincere, focused and personalized approach to each project. Interiors are described as honest, enriching, comfortable full-sized and appropriate for family life. Fulsome in detail and strength, the compositions feature complimentary, layered and patterned neutrals highlighted with unique touches.

Both Shelley and Pennino provide their clients with a historical perspective and timeless design. Pennino is a Chicago native who did graduate work at UCLA. The firm is comprised of partner Scott Shelley, and seven full-time workers, including draftsmen. The staff is highly professional and always helpful. Very competent project managers are assigned to all jobs, with Pennino and Shelley making the design decisions in close collaboration with the client. Although the majority of their work is in Los Angeles, they install projects nationally and abroad.

The interior architecture often is transformed to complement the designs and develop depth. Clients cannot imagine using anyone else and have brought Pennino to New York and elsewhere for many repeat performances. Mr. Pennino and Mr. Shelley have designed together for over 20 years.
